Inclusion – equal chances for all

Many people are not aware of what inclusion means. It means ensuring that people get the same opportunities, regardless of their nationality, gender, sexual orientation etc. We want to raise awareness at the next OpenUni discussion evening.

We start with an introduction from Perrine Schober, general manager of Shades Tours. This organization lets homeless people give tours to people who want to understand what this way of life means. A great impulse to realize how tough life can be for people who are excluded from the mainstream.

We will be giving out two free tickets for a Shades Tour to the lucky winner of an Instagram competition.

Shades 2

As main guest, we are happy to have Beatrix Eigner who has been the Inclusion Responsible for Henkel Austria for the last seven years. Before we start the session, you will be able to choose which questions you would like her to be asked on the podium.

After the interview, we break up into teams of three. You will have a set of cards which describe various tricky real life cases of discrimination. How would you react in those situations? Do your team mates have advice? Do you agree? Find out if your chosen action would have insulted someone.

Did you experience a tough discrimination situation which you did not know how to solve? Would you like to get advice from others? Send us a short description of the situation via e-mail before 20 February. We will anonymize it and include it in the card sets.
